Tell us a little about you.
I am a portrait photographer and the mother of 3.
How do you start your day?
I start the day very slowly... I am definitely not a morning person! I do some quick stretching, make a flat white (or 3!) to wake me up and then wrangle my kids out the door as we ride 5km to school through the woods.
What is your fashion philosophy?
Don't follow trends, find what you feel good in and then build on that. My philosophy is that it is better to look like yourself than to follow the crowd. If I love a certain trouser or shoe, I end up buying it in lots of different colours and fabrics!
Can you share a styling trick with us?
Whenever I travel, I always pack a cocktail dress and some heels (my Rupert Sanderson suede pebbles are always with me), this trick has saved me so many times. I love the effortless look of juxtaposing masculine and feminine styles. So, a men’s oversized blazer with skinny leather trousers and a little heel is my go-to.
What inspires you?
My children inspire me to see the beauty in the mundane and every day. Our walk each day through the woods deeply nourishes and inspires me. Nature is intrinsically kinetic and exciting.
How do you unwind?
I try and grab a sauna 3/4 times a week. I love the silence and heat. It's my secret indulgence. I also listen to about 3 books a week. I absolutely love audible as I can listen whenever I am on the run somewhere.
If you could visit anywhere in the world tomorrow, where would it be?
I would love to go back to India, it is still the most incredible place I have ever been. Although Australia is always calling to me.
Can you tell us something you discovered recently?
I just got back from magical St Moritz and I can now confirm that just because one can surf, it doesn't mean they can ski, no matter how many times they try!!
What is the best part of your job?
That no two days are the same, I am able to do a job that is my passion, that I get to spend time with all sorts of fascinating people and that I travel to places I could only dream of going to.
Which shoes do you love this season?
The Misty Slingbacks in Fresno Basket Weave.
