Jocelyn Gailliot launched her career in New York investment banking before moving to Hong Kong, where she built a successful track record in real estate private equity. After years in finance, she followed her creative instincts and, alongside Co-Founders Maddy Grayson and September Votta, built Tuckernuck—an authentic retail brand rooted in classic American style. Jocelyn collaborates closely on the design and development of Tuckernuck’s clothing and accessories and leads the brand’s overall vision and new business initiatives. Follow @jomoga
Tell us a little about you.
I’m the CEO and co-founder of Tuckernuck and a mom of five living in New York City. When I’m not in design meetings or at market appointments with my team, you can find me playing tennis, traveling with my family, exploring the city, or cheering on my kids from the sidelines—my favorite place to be!
How do you start your day?
Coffee, eggs, walking my kids to school, then taking my dogs for an off-leash walk in Central Park.
What is your fashion philosophy?
My outfits depend on my mood, but I keep it easy and keep it classic. I like to mix modern and vintage-inspired pieces so my outfits feel unique, elevated, and collected.
Can you share a styling trick with us? Or your top tip (fashion, life, anything)?
If something feels too perfect, make tweaks. Always add one expected element to keep it current.
What / who inspires you?
A little bit of everything! It’s constantly evolving based on my surroundings, travel, art, interiors, textiles, street style, books, and vintage movies.
How do you unwind?
A pedicure.
If you could visit anywhere in the world tomorrow, where would it be?
Go glamping to see the Northern Lights in Iceland.
What is the best part of your job?
The best part of my job is working with such a talented, inspiring team and getting to design for a woman whose lifestyle we truly understand—because we live it ourselves. Being our customer’s life hack, inspiring her, and always remembering to find the fun makes the work incredibly rewarding.
