ONE PAIR OF SHOES = ONE TREE

Rupert Sanderson is proud to work with WeForest, an organisation which promotes reforestation to combat global warming. Spread over 3 continents and 12 countries, WeForest is committed to transforming the forest landscape across the world by empowering communities to sustainably advance and implement innovative, high standard and lasting solutions to restore forest landscapes.

Rupert Sanderson will support WeForest to regenerate forests in Brazil. Every pair of shoes sold at Rupert Sanderson’s Mayfair boutique and online will fund the growth of one tree: 1 pair of shoes = 1 tree.

OUR PROJECT

We are working to support WeForest’s project in the Atlantic Forest in Brazil. Reduced to green fragments due to unsustainable agriculture, the damage is affecting the rich biodiversity in the area. WeForest is planting trees and reconnecting forest patches, conserving biodiversity and endangered animals, and promoting economic development and livelihood resilience in the area.

Rupert Sanderson has been working with Freight Brokers to deliver all online orders since September 2019. The first courier service to promise 100% carbon neutrality for all deliveries, Freight Brokers invests in projects to reduce, avoid, or remove greenhouse gas emissions from the atmosphere.

As of 2019, all single use plastic was removed from our shoe packaging. Plastic bags protecting the shoes have been replaced by recycled tissue paper. Our shoe boxes and paper bags are sourced in the UK by paper maker James Cropper. In addition, online deliveries are sent out in recycled and reusable cardboard boxes, and plastic delivery slips have been removed.

 

CHARITIES

Rupert Sanderson is proud to work to work with some incredible charities.

In March 2020, 10% of profits from our online store and Mayfair boutique were donated to Women for Women International, helping women survivors of war rebuild their lives. To discover more about this project, please click here.
